Committee
The committee provide the direction for the club and have monthly meetings to achieve this end. There are many opportunities available so new committee members are always welcome.

Committee Roles
Club President
Responsible for coordinating club activities by liaising with his committee.
Point of contact for all club activities.
Chairs committee meetings and AGM.
Club Secretary
Deals with all correspondence.
Takes minutes at meetings.
Keeps records of all correspondence and ensures records are backed up on clubs hard drive.
Club Treasurer
Responsible for all financial transactions including banking and payment of bills.
Keeps accurate records of all transactions and ensures that records are backed up on clubs hard drive.
Presents financial statement at AGM and as requested by Club President and committee.
Presents financial statement as accepted at AGM to Registrar of Incorporated Societies.
Event Coordinator
Responsible for preparing clubs event calendar by liaising with XC DH and recreational organisers. Ensures that events do not clash. Adds outside events to calendar where appropriate.
XC DH and Rec events organisers
Organises events in their specific role coordinating with Event Coordinator.
Track Maintenance
Ensures that tracks are in good condition by organising working bees as necessary at the MTB Park and Condors Bend. Also responsible for organising track development activity and recruiting helpers when needed.
Website Maintenance
Responsible for updating club website on a regular basis. Sends out regular newsletters to keep all interested parties well informed of all club activities.
Council Liaison
Attends Bike Walk Marlborough meetings at MDC and report back to committee. Liaises with Robin Dunn to keep all parties informed of mutual interest activities.
Membership Administration
Keep records of current and past members. Issue membership cards. Ensure membership application forms are available at all local bike shops and the online application form is current.
Picton Rep
Keeps committee informed of activities in and aroundPicton and requests help with track maintenance. Helps set out course for Picton events.
Publicity Rep
Advises media of club events. Marlborough Express deadline for Tuesdays Sports Fixtures is midday Monday. Contact local radio for major events.
Funding Rep
Coordinates clubs applications for funding for special projects. Is aware of each organisations criteria and deadlines.
School Liaison
Encourages mountain bike activity at Marlborough schools by identifying suitable teachers to promote the sport.
